Mapify: Indoor Navigations

The Challenge

Organizations needed indoor navigation software to help visitors find their way through large indoor spaces where GPS doesn't work, without the cost and time of hand-building a digital map for every building.

What We Built

We built this as two Flutter apps, one for managers to register organizations and upload building blueprints, one for end users to navigate with, backed by a computer-vision pipeline using Detectron2 that automatically converts raw blueprints into navigable indoor maps with real-world coordinates. A Node.js backend ties both apps together and serves the generated maps and routes.

Where It Stands

Delivered in two months as a working indoor navigation and indoor mapping platform, with users able to find the shortest path between points of interest inside a building in real time.
