Restaurant POS: Admin Panel

The Challenge

Restaurant owners running the POS across multiple cashier stations needed a real restaurant admin panel, one place to manage menus, track sales, and oversee accounts without touching the till software itself, not a disconnected reporting tool bolted onto restaurant management after the fact.

What We Built

We built this as a proper restaurant admin panel for day-to-day restaurant management, not just a reporting dashboard: a web-based application in Next.js and Tailwind CSS, connected to the same PostgreSQL/Redis backend as the desktop POS, giving owners a single dashboard for the whole operation, from menu and pricing to staff, taxes, and currency.

• Menu management shared across every connected cashier station
• Sales charts and reporting dashboards
• Full sales and financial reporting: revenue, net profit, expenses, and average order value over a selected period
• Configurable currency and tax rates, applied consistently across every order
• Account and staff management
• Staff and driver management with role-based access, editable from the browser
• Real-time visibility into orders processed by the desktop POS
• Built on the same backend as the POS for a single source of truth

Where It Stands

Deployed as the restaurant admin panel behind our Restaurant POS System, alongside the POS itself, at Bocconcino Pizza & Donairs in Burlington, Ontario, where we continue to manage and maintain both for restaurant management today.
